SetPower Software is a technology company dedicated to producing software that reduces the environmental footprint of computers. Launched in 2009 by a team of seasoned software veterans dedicated to producing excellent products that are easy to install and maintain.

SetPower is based out of Mount Gretna PA.

Executive Team

Brett is a technologist with over 12 years of experience developing software at an enterprise level. Brett graduated from the Johns Hopkins University in 1997 with a BS in Computer Engineering/Computer Science.

Upon graduation Brett worked in the integration field of computing while serving as an Integration Engineer at SRA International spending most of his time working at large law firms. In doing so he quickly found his penchant for identifying software problems and engineering superior solutions. Within a year Brett started a new team in SRA dedicated to getting Law Firms started in the Web Site/Intranet game and launched a templatable Intranet product called inSite that leveraged commonalities between all law firms to present a more cost effective solution that custom built solution.

In 1999 Brett left SRA to start his own company, Scout Solutions, that offered a web-based CRM product for professional services organizations. The product was quite unique and focused on a clean, simple user interface that was easy to learn. As the product evolved Brett engineered numerous techniques for making Aptus (the CRM) behave light a desktop application by using techniques now known as AJAX. At the time no such technology existed (nor did the term) but the innovation allowed Aptus to excel over it's competitors. Scout grew to be very successful and the company grew as well. In 2004 Scout Solution's primary competitor, Interface Software, acquired Scout and agreed to bring Scout's entire staff on board as part of the Acquisition. Brett served as Director of Technology for 2 years at Interface and had a large team of developers working for him on various projects, some of which centered around incorporating the Aptus web technology into Interface's product.

Brett left Interface Software in 2006 to spend more time with his family, and started a small consulting firm which specialized in custom enterpise software development. The consulting firm leveraged Brett's experience in large scale software development and many of the talented engineers Brett has worked with over the years.

Brett is extremely excited to have founded SetPower Software. Aside from a great professional opportunity, he views this as an excellent opportunity to have a lasting effect on the environment. If just 1 million people start using SetPower it could easily save $100 million dollars of electricity.
